Aifashenghuo — a WeChat platform construction program for popularizing science knowledge of disease on patients with male-pattern alopecia and alopecia areata
Alopecia is a worldwide skin problem, with about 55% adult male suffering alopecia in the world. The incidence rate of male pattern alopecia in China is up to 19.9%, and patients with alopecia is more than 250 million only on the basis of 650 million male citizens in our country. Alopecia population in China is taking on a low-age and rapid trend. Relative to the huge alopecia population, the number of patients going to medical facilities such as hospital and clinic for the diagnosis and treatment is less than 40% of the total number of alopecia patients. The one reason of low will for diagnosis and treatment is subjective cause such as psychological avoid factors, and another reason for that is that the treatment for male-pattern alopecia is an lengthy procedure, while hospitals fail to greatly meet the requirements of chronic disease management on alopecia. Thus, “Three-low” status (low visiting rate, low medication rate and low success rate for hair growth) exists in patients with alopecia.
Our purposre is to preferably serve the majority of patients with alopecia, effectively solve the problem for such population and provide long-course treatment care. In May 2015, 3SBio built a professional, efficient and convenient doctor-patient communication platform — “Aifashenghuo” for patients with alopeci with its medical resource and practitioner team. Based on WeChat platform,science knowledge on alopeci disease is popularized in various forms, deep communication with alopeci patients is conducted and correct medication concept and hair-nutrition method is spread, thus helping alopeci patients get rid of alopecia problem. So far, more than 200 articles have been published, with over 500,000 clicks for reading. In the future, “Aifashenghuo” platform will make the content with more professional knowledge, get professional doctor-patient communication mechanism with innovation and establish an ecosystem for patients population, with an aim to create a leading brand of Internet platform for alopecia category.
